NEW! Yes, you can grow a watermelon! Start sprouting the seeds indoors in the reusable terracotta pot, then plant outdoors in a sunny garden to grow to full size. The kit includes everything you’ll need to get started:
- A package of organic baby watermelon seeds
- 3.5″ x 3.5″ reusable terracotta vessel with glazed interior (so water won’t seep through and damage your windowsill or furniture)
- Nested coconut husk net pot to provide drainage inside the vessel and prevent the soil from staying too wet
- Coco pith discs, which expand to fill the pot and serve as growing medium when wet – no potting soil needed
- Plant fertilizer to feed your plant and help it grow
- Planting and growing instructions
Transplant your baby watermelon plant outdoors when it has grown large enough and there is no danger of frost. Simply remove the entire plant along with the coconut husk pot to transplant it in a spot that receives 6 to 8 hours of sunlight per day and has enough space available to allow it to spread.
