Mint Mug Grow Kit (Direct Ship)

Get your tea fix and grow your own soothing mint plant in a beautiful oversized enamel mug. This indoor growing kit includes:

You can also choose to plant in your own pot of a similar size and use the mug for your favorite beverage instead. Mint aids in digestion by relaxing the stomach muscles, reducing inflammation, and promoting bile flow to help break down fats efficiently.

Choose a warm spot with at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day for growing your plant. You may wish to supplement with a fluorescent or LED grow light during the winter months. This kit is designed for growing indoors, but you can also transplant outdoors in mid to late spring if you wish. Mint grows well in USDA hardiness zones 3 through 8. In zones 9 through 10 it requires some shade, especially in the afternoon, and plenty of water. You can expect to see sprouts within 7 to 14 days after planting and it will be ready to harvest in about 2 to 3 months.

Mint can spread rapidly outdoors, so you may prefer to plant it in a large pot instead of directly in the ground. To dry the herbs after harvesting: gently rinse to remove any dirt, tie together in small bunches using kitchen twine, and hang upside down for about 1-2 weeks until completely dry. Store dried herbs in an airtight container for up to one year. To make a tea from the dried leaves, steep in hot water for 5 to 10 minutes.
